Waterloo Dark, IPA and Amber were each awarded the gold medal for achieving superior quality based on the rigorous laboratory analysis and evaluations of expert tasting panels of Monde Selection. “These gold medals for Waterloo Dark, IPA and Amber are the result of a lot of hard work by our brewing team” offered Russell Tabata, Chief Technical Officer, Brick Brewing. “When we decided a few years ago to reestablish our roots as Ontario’s original craft brewer, every one in the company made a commitment that our success would depend entirely on the relative quality of our beers. Gold medals across the board suggest our hard work is paying off.”
“This is an extraordinary accomplishment for our brewing team that was unwavering in its pursuit of extraordinary, expertly crafted beers. On behalf of every beer drinker in Ontario who enjoys a Waterloo beer this summer, I want to thank the brewing team for these truly great beers.” praised George Croft, President and CEO. “These three gold medals demonstrate a consistency of product excellence from the Waterloo Brewing Company. We wanted to give the hardworking people of Ontario a family of highly crafted products without the pretense that often accompanies craft and imported beers. We’re feeling pretty good about how we’re doing so far.”
Waterloo Brewing Co. recognizes the company’s roots as Ontario’s original craft brewery. The history of our company dates back to our pioneer brewery in Formosa, Ontario which was founded in 1870 just three years after Confederation. Waterloo Brewing Co. recently added a Classic Pilsner to its line-up and regularly offers Small Batch Brews that feature one especially distinctive, seasonal brew.
